Our range of Catervent kitchen canopy and stand-alone ventilation systems are designed for use in a wide variety of institutional and commercial applications including restaurants, hospitals, schools, colleges and universities. The Catervent branded canopy product range extends from simple extract-only canopies through to our energy-saving Airstream Extraction system.
Every project is individually investigated by our design team to ascertain the best solution for the client's requirements. The resulting system(s) is designed and manufactured to these exacting design specifications.
Depending on your required solution, our Catervent canopy design package generally includes the following features »

Wall-mounted or island canopies can be supplied from 1000mm long up to any required length. Where conditions are impractical for conventional canopies to be installed, we are able to modify our range to suit on-site conditions (eg. immovable building obstructions like support columns, etc).
All products are manufactured to DW/172 standard for kitchen ventilation systems. Units are manufactured from 304 (En 1.4301) or 316 (En 1.4401) grade steel where specified and are suitably braced to prevent distortion. All joints are welded and polished.
Airstream Extraction
In the commercial kitchen environment, it is essential to have an efficient extraction system to eliminate greasy fumes, odours, steam and products of combustion.The Airstream Extraction system provides such a solution but also saves energy by reducing the volume of heated air required by injecting fresh, unheated air along the canopy edge toward the exhaust plenum, expelling hot fumes from the cooking area. This means between 50% and 70% of the required extraction rate need not be pre-heated.
The system has a low set-up cost, meaning shorter payback period and the reduced exhaust air temperature cools the grease filter thus increasing collection efficiency.
