Canopy Lighting »
Midtherm Engineering only use approved, sealed cleanroom kitchen canopy lighting systems designed and manufactured to meet modern, stringent commercial kitchen hygiene regulations.
All lighting systems are suited to a wide range of commercial applications. They have no problem dealing with humidity, condense-rich and hot and greasy environments. Units are normally recessed into the canopy ceiling, providing easy cleaning and maintenance of the exterior unit. This greatly reduces the build-up of grease and other contaminants usually associated with a modern commercial kitchen environment.
Lighting units are supplied in the following two types »
Recessed Fluorescent Low Profile Units
- 115mm high for limited overhead applications
- Tempered, toughened glass diffusers
- One piece, satin-finished stainless steel face with frame to match interior
Recessed Incandescent Units
- Satin-finished stainless steel with matching faceplates to complement the hood
- Tempered, prismatic glass diffusers
Electrical Wiring
Our qualified electricians install our lighting packages to exacting standards using only heat and liquid-tight flex. The lighting is pre-wired to a safely situated junction box affixed to the canopy itself. Final connection should only be made by a qualified, appointed electrical contractor (or by one of our own qualified electricians as required).Cleaning
Cleaning of the units should be carried out using approved cleaning methods and solutions. A routine cleaning and maintenance programme should include external cleaning of the lighting unit to prevent build up of potential contaminants. DO NOT USE AGGRESIVE CLEANING SOLUTIONS.Maintenance
Tube replacements can be carried out via easy access through the diffuser.
