If you require a flue system on a larger scale, our MIDTEC mast-supported Chimney system provides the ideal solution. Over the years we have developed highly specific design solutions ranging from single column masts, building supported masts to open lattice masts.

Each project is uniquely assessed, taking into consideration the specific application required and individual client requirements. Mast and Chimney designs are generated by our own engineers using cutting-edge software to provide an optimal service. This process ensures quick access to any aspect of the application design ranging from foundation loading information through to chimney sizing and performance calculations as necessary.

Our complete design and installation package usually includes the following:

• Chimneys to BS 4076 and corresponding international codes
• Chimney Vibration Dampers
• Pre-fabricated stainless steel chimneys and flues
• Two Hour and Four Four Fire Rated systems to BS 476:1987 for integrity and stability
• Flue support structures (ie. Masts)
• Chimney and cuct silencers (noise absorbers)
• Chimney inspections and CCTV surveys

Midtec Masts

The MIDTEC mast system is designed and fabricated to comply with all associated regulations and is fully functional and aesthetically pleasing from an architectural point of view. It adds a feature aspect to any building design and as a free-standing application, requires no building supports to enable operation.

The MIDTEC mast system and attached chimneys can be powder coated to any colour within the RAL or BS ranges.

Design & Installation

We are able to undertake complex design and calculation requirements as well as produce suitable CAD drawings for every project undertaken. We adhere to all guidance and regulations associated with mast and chimney systems, including BS 8100-3:1999 for lattice towers and masts, code of practice for loading and BS 6399-2:1997 code of practice for wind loads. Our highly trained engineering teams will liase with on site staff to ensure a smooth installation process. Health and safety is of paramount importance to Midtherm Engineering and all our employees.

Manufacture

Manufacturing by Midtherm is carried out in accordance with systems complying with ISO 9001. All Chimneys are manufactured to BS 4076:1989 and the corresponding international codes. Vibration dampers and duct silencers (noise absorbers) can be fitted as required.

Steel fabrications are manufactured at one of our factories in the Midlands area and occasionally we use our sister company Midtherm Flue Systems who also provide a quality service. Occasionally, some specialist fabrications may be sourced from approved sub-contractors.
