Our terms and conditions comply with UK legislation and are designed to ensure that our customers can shop easily and with confidence with Midtherm Engineering Ltd on our naturallydriven.co.uk website. All prices shown on the website are in £ sterling and exclude the VAT that will be added after items have been "added to basket". Packaging and delivery charges to any address in the UK are also not shown and will be added during the "checkout" process where applicable. Prices may be subject to change without notice, but we will only alter the price after we have confirmed your order.Foreign Customers
Whilst this website is designed with UK customers in mind, we welcome enquiries from customers in other countries. Final prices include UK Sales Tax (VAT), currently at 20%, which may not be payable by foreign customers; however, additional delivery charges will usually apply. Please contact us and we will do our best to assist.Payment
You may pay by any major credit card or debit card if ordering by telephone, or by UK postal order or money order if ordering by post. Please do not send money (notes) in the post. If you choose to pay by credit card a 3% handling charge will apply with no charges for debit card payments. We will only charge your card upon despatch of the goods.Product Availability
Items shown on this website may not always be in stock. If any of your chosen items is not in stock, we will contact you either by email (our preferred method) or telephone and advise you with our best estimate of availability and delivery after you have placed your order. Please note that an indication of such dates is an estimate only, these may be subject to change without notice, and does not constitute a contractual obligation by Midtherm Engineering Ltd to supply goods by a certain date. However, if availability is unduly delayed, we will use our best endeavours to keep you informed via email (our preferred method) or telephone.Product Images and Descriptions
Please note that the colour of images shown on this website may be affected by the technology used to access it. Whilst we do our best to faithfully reproduce colours, some variation may occur. We will try to supply the brands shown on the website although in some instances we may need to send alternatives; we will contact you via email or telephone prior to dispatch to confirm that the changes are acceptable.Accepting Orders and Security
When you place an order, either via email, telephone or in writing/fax, we will treat it as an offer to purchase. If we accept your order, we will send you an order confirmation e-mail or fax with your order tracking number, at which point we make a legal contract with you. However, we will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if we feel it necessary, in which case we will e-mail you as soon as we can to let you know.When you receive your e-mail confirmation, you will have an opportunity to check the details and correct any errors.
In deciding whether to accept your order we may use the information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we receive from any enquiry we may make with various agencies, to confirm your identity. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. If we decline your offer on security grounds we may contact you to seek an alternative payment method.
Delivery
General Information
We aim to dispatch orders for stock items on the next working day, provided that the order is received by 1:00pm.Deliveries will usually be sent via Royal Mail Recorded 1st Class although we reserve the right to use other courier companies or our own distribution fleet dependant on weight and volumes.
We recommend checking the availability of all products before placing orders. Otherwise the staff at Midtherm Engineering Ltd will advise delivery on any items that aren't available when an order has been placed and give the customer an estimated delivery date for any items on back order.
Goods Receiving
The Customer must inspect the products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and within 5 working days of the date of delivery. Any discrepancies must be notified with a member of staff at Midtherm Engineering Ltd within this period so that a return or refund can be arranged (please see the Returns and Refunds Policy below for more information).We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the customer if the goods are refused on delivery without previously notifying Midtherm Engineering Ltd or if the order is cancelled after the items have been dispatched. If a delivery is refused a refund will not be given for any of the delivery or handling charges.
Delivery Rates
Delivery to UK addresses will be charged at a flat rate of £12.00 for small packages and minimum of £70.00 for large items which includes for packaging and handling charges.We can offer quicker deliveries for an additional charge. However the cut off time for any overnight delivery is 11.00am. Please contact us for overnight delivery rates.
International Deliveries
We can offer deliveries to most international locations, however quotations & parts orders have to be done on an individual basis due to various factors such as changes in exchange rates, import duty, and international delivery rates.Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Collections
We do not currently offer a collections service. All items sold on this website are for delivery only.Returns and Refunds Policy
General Information
We are pleased to offer a cancellation and returns policy, which operates in addition to your statutory rights. Should your purchase disappoint in any way, you may normally cancel your purchase, provided you notify us before, or within 5 working days of receipt of the goods.Returns must be received at our premises within 5 working days of your notification that goods are to be returned. Any item received after this period will not be refunded or exchanged.
Midtherm Engineering Ltd accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to products in transit from the Customer to our premises. We therefore suggest that the customer takes out adequate insurance and sends returns via a recorded delivery service.
Your returned product must be received in a complete, unused and "as new" condition (e.g., if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). It should be returned with the original box, packing and any accessories.
All refunds will exclude the original delivery and handling charges and a returns re-stocking charge of 20% will be applied to returns to cover our administerial and other normal business related costs.
Returns Procedure
- 1. The Customer must contact us prior to the return of any products.
- 2. If we authorise the return then we will provide you with a returns number. You must put this returns number on all returns paperwork.
- 3. Products must be adequately packed and returned to: Midtherm Engineering Ltd, Staffordshire House, 28 New Road, Netherton, Dudley, West Midlands, DY2 8TA.
- 4. A refund will then be issued, subject to the goods passing an inspection. If you paid by credit or debit card your refund will be to the card/s used. If you paid by postal order or cheque then payment will be via cheque within 30 days of receipt of goods. If your company holds a credit account with Midtherm Engineering Ltd you will be credited on our next payment run.
Transit Damage
All goods are examined in detail by us prior to despatch to ensure that they leave our warehouse in perfect condition. However, transit damage unfortunately can occur. If your purchase is showing obvious signs of transit damage upon delivery, please refuse to accept delivery and notify us immediately. If damage is only evident upon opening of packaging, then you must inform us within 48 hours of receipt. In either case, we will then arrange re-delivery of replacement goods as soon as possible.Faulty Goods
Goods are fully guaranteed against faults in manufacture, materials or workmanship for a period of 12 months from delivery. No warranty is made in respect of commercial rather than domestic use. If your goods develop a fault within 28 days of delivery, the goods may be returned for either refund in full, or replacement. Replacement only is offered after 28 days and before 12 months. These promises do not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse. Electrical items will require manufacturers testing prior to satisfactory resolution and this can take up to 4 working weeks.Legal
If your goods develop a fault within 10 working days of delivery, the goods may be returned for a refund or replacement. After 10 working days of delivery and for a period less then a year we will replace the product only. This does not apply to faults or damage caused by accident, neglect or misuse.
