The X-Stream LITE unit is a boxed GRP natural ventilator with an integral litepipe. The unit boasts the same passive stack capabilities as our Windvent product combined with the bonus of a free daylight source from our class-leading Litepipe.

The passive stack provides a naturally driven ventilation rate based upon external wind conditions. It is especially useful in closed room conditions where it is not possible to provide a separate incoming air supply such as openable windows or automatic wall damper units. The balanced X-Stream unit offer up to around 220L/s volume flow rates at 3-4m/s external wind. Natural daylighting is provided by the use of a 250mm diameter day lighting tube.

Cost Savings

The X-Stream LITE is powered primarily by aerodynamic forces and natural energy and so the only power required is to run the low voltage controller unit. This offers substantial costs savings compared to traditional mechanical ventilation and lighting systems that can potentially run into thousands of pounds each year.

Health Benefits

The X-Stream LITE system combines the health benefits of our Windvent and Litepipe systems and is the light commerical application equivalent of our Windvent VL product. It combats common health problems associated with mechanical air conditioning units (by removing stale air and replacing it with a fresh supply rather than re-circulating stale air (and possibly germs) and also reduces office-related health issues like Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD) associated with conventional lighting and indoor environments.

Operation

The entire system is controlled via our Midtherm MID2012 master panel which is normally located within the space to be ventilated. The MID2012 panel gives the room occupant complete control of the X-Stream LITE unit and even offers a natural ventilation purge capability as well as free night cooling.

Environmental Impacts

The X-Stream LITE unit offers virtually a ZERO carbon footprint and therefore has little impact on the environment.
