Midtherm Combi-lite Systems »

The Midtherm Combi-lite unit is designed and manufactured to meet with the needs of the large home or smaller commercial projects where large capacity input ventilation rates are not a priority. These versatile predominantly passive stack ventilation units can be used in conjunction with trickle ventilation or motorised wall ventilation to introduce a suitable air flow rate within the placed environment.

The Combi-lite has the added capability of introducing natural light through the installed Solatube units either in 250mm diameter or 350mm diameter sizes. The size of Solatube unit installed will have an effect on the overall size of the Combi-lite unit itself. With a 250mm-diameter pipe installed the unit size overall will be 535mm diameter, and with a 350mm pipe installed the overall size will be 685mm diameter.

The ductwork from roof to ceiling can be of a flexible insulated PVC type, to aid a predominantly passive stack configuration. Alternatively a rigid ductwork construction can be used with cross dividers and is used to introduce a reasonable fresh air supply through the Combi-lite (as is the case with our larger ‘Windvent’ units for fully commercial applications).

Manufacture - Combi-Lite terminals are manufactured from 1mm thick high quality corrosion resistant aluminium all fully welded and with bird mesh installed internally. The terminal ‘Cross Dividers’ (Where installed) and Capping can also be acoustically lined with 12mm THK sound material to minimise noise transfer and meet the acoustic criteria set for Building Bulletin 99. In any event all terminals are insulated to prevent condensation forming within.

Controls - The units are controlled manually via the installed room interface from within each area to which they are installed.

Colour - Combi-Lite terminals can be powder coated to give extra protection from the elements. This can be from any colour within the RAL or BS range of colours.

Roof Plates - Units can be provided with roof plates if required, or a builders upstand detail drawing can be provided upon request. They can be provided to suit a flat or pitched roof application as required.
