There are good cost saving advantages to using the Midtherm Solatube within the commercial sector. The main reason being the cost saving implications from not using more conventional power sources. On average using natural daylighting can deliver as much as 75% in savings compared to using common electrical systems as well as energy saving lighting panels.

Midtherm Solatube 530mm Industrial/Commercial »

The 530mm (21”) diameter INDUSTRIAL system caters for areas where natural light needs to flood in, but due to the make-up of the building structure has nowhere to finish the diffuser. These units are lightweight and hand freely and are suspended from roof level. The ceiling diffuser incorporates the same aesthetic feel and performance as the prismatic diffuser but in a circular design.

The 530mm (21”) diameter COMMERCIAL natural lighting system caters for the more expansive areas that require a higher level of lighting. The patented transition box converts the round tubing to a 24” diffuser. This allows for easy installation into suspended ceiling as well as hard ceiling applications. The system allows for 3 types of ceiling diffuser options that include Prismatic, Frosted and finally an optiview diffuser arrangement. The system can also be served by a low energy daylight dimmer kit at an additional cost.

The 530mm diameter Solatube® offers an effective lighting area of up to 37sq metres (400 sq ft) and is the industry's first tubular skylight specifically designed to fit into any existing or specified suspended ceiling grid using our new, patented round-to-square transition box and square diffuser panel. This Solatube® is also available without the transition box for applications without ceilings, such as warehouses and factories.

Midtherm Solatube 350mm »

The 350mm (14”) diameter system is typically suitable for commercial areas such as corridors, stairwells, office spaces, washrooms etc and are very capable of lighting classroom areas in multiples, thus also giving architectural lighting effects to the space. Diffuser options include flush frosted, curved prismatic and optiview. Applications to which they have been used includes hospitals, schools, academies, offices, nurseries and many other sectors.

The 350mm diameter Solatube® has an effective lighting area of up to 22 sq metres (250 sq ft), suitable for medium offices, corridors and galleries. Optional integral electric light kit available.

Midtherm Solatube 250mm »

The 250mm diameter Solatube® is our most compact tubular skylight with an effective lighting area of up to 13 sq metres (150 sq ft). Accessories include an integral electric light kit for WC and shower room ventilation systems.

Midtherm Solatube Commercial Openings & Flashings »

The roof fabric of many commercial applications has a great affect on the openings and roof plates that are required to install the systems competently. We offer a roof plate for all given situations, including self mount flashings and curb mount flashings with suitable upstands. The options required tailored to each project will need to be discussed at the design stage in some detail to include the openings that are required to suit our systems.
