| The Windvent system offers a fresh, cool air supply all year round regulated by the individual occupant's requirements.
From an environmental point of view it is both efficient & carbon neutral - ie. it leaves no carbon footprint. Having a fresh air supply to an office environment has been proven to reduce staff sickness and improve productivity compared to offices that have air conditioning or other mechanically cooled ventilation. The cost saving in monetary terms over a five year payback period would be on average £1680 per year and after the payback period an average of £3650 (based upon annual running and maintenance costs of an air conditioning system within a medium to large office installation). |

The new Windvent range of Natural Ventilation controllers offers the flexibility to provide temperature, humidity, air quality and CO² control of a single or multiple terminal / zone application. With its touch pads and clear digital display the operator can display the actual sensor readings and set-points along with the terminal damper % open position from the actuator’s direct feedback signal.
The controllers can be linked via a simple time period programmer incorporating a common fire alarm override signal or the system can be further advanced by linking them onto a local network with a master controller touch screen. Connection with other BMS systems is possible via a communications card which will carry the protocol of the host LAN / BMS network.

| X-Stream Interest at Ecobuild 2010
We recently attended the Ecobuild event at Earl’s Court to promote our Solabreeze X-Stream airflow terminal. There was great interest in the Solabreeze X-Stream product from many industry sectors during the Ecobuild event.
The X-Stream louvre blade technology is a new innovation in louvre blade design achieved in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University following a 3 year joint funded study into the aerodynamic efficiency of a standard louvre blade design. The Solabreeze airflow terminal is essentially a passive stack ventilation unit and is constructed to be used in conjunction with other devices such as openable windows, internal wall air transfer grilles and external actuated wall mounted ventilators such as the Midtherm ‘Crossvent’ unit. BSRIA benchmark testing confirmed that the new, precise blade pitch angle of the X-Stream achieves the highest airflow performance at the lowest resistance possible. |
